OTTAWA -- The CRTC's controversial hearings on the future of Canadian television were brought to a close Thursday after nearly three weeks in which the giants and the small fry of the industry battled for survival and a bigger piece of the multi-billion dollar industry.

The number of pregnant women with pre-existing diabetes has more than doubled in seven years, a California study found, a troubling trend that means health risks for both mothers and newborns. And the number of diabetic teenagers giving birth grew fivefold during the same period, according to the study, the largest of its kind.

New kind of beetle found! By CBC staff! Staff on the state-owned CBC Newsworld, where, suspiciously like Fox News Channel’s O’Reilly Factor, “The Spin Stops Here”! (-- or is that just on their “Politics” program?) apparently discovered the new creature. They called it the “GREENHOUSE BEETLE”. Most other people, like the folks at the National Post, which features the little bugger on their front page today, call it the Mountain Pine Beetle. Labcoats call it Dendroctonus Ponderosae. Bu

Fashion fuchsia is often used in the fashion world, popularly used as color for clothing, shoes, and accessories. It is also one of the most consistently talked about color trends of the season. Way back in 1920's, Fashion fuchsia was known as Hollywood and in 1950's it was renamed Hollywood Cerise.
